WEBINAR: GeoInsurance and Climate Change – How Must Our Models Change?

WEBINAR: GeoInsurance and Climate Change – How Must Our Models Change?

Gamma Location Intelligence, the leading provider of underwriter address-level risk assessment and reporting solutions, is delighted to host GeoInsurance Webinar Series 2020

In our upcoming webinar, on Thursday, 12 November @ 10:00 a.m. Gamma’s Richard Cantwell will present his recent white papers regarding the effects of climate change on property in the UK & Ireland and its potential impact on the insurance sector.

We have estimated that the impact of climate change will see more than 1.2 million properties in Great Britain newly at risk of flooding and 1.9 million addresses newly at risk of subsidence by 2050.

The UK white paper combined the latest ground movement models from Terrafirma and Ambiental Risk’s FloodFutures® climate change models to identify which parts of the UK are likely to be impacted by climate change.

Richard will be joined by Tim Farewell from Terrafirma and David Martin of Ambiental Risk Analytics who will provide insights into how their models work.

Gamma are also delighted to be joined by Dr Barry O’Dwyer from University College Cork, one of Europe’s leading experts on climate change. Dr O’Dwyer will provide an update on recent developments in climate change and their likely impacts on all of us.

This event will be hosted by Gamma’s Richard Garry & Matthew Grant from InsTech London.

You can use the below links to find out more, access the white paper, read our blog, or see some of the recent press coverage.

The GeoInsurance Webinar Series focuses on advances in catastrophe modelling, the evolution of risk data, and climate change forecasting in the general insurance and reinsurance sectors. You can register to view other on-demand webinars here.
